Smartglass International enjoyed a hugely successful few days exhibiting at the recent 100% Design show at London’s Earls Court.
The four-day event brought together award winning interior designers, architects and creative experts from every corner of the design world. On par with Milan’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile, this annual event in London has been growing year-on-year and welcomed a staggering 30,000 people through its doors this year.
The Smartglass stand consisted of a stunning hi-res backdrop featuring images from the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel in Bahrain. (Privacy Smartglass was installed at this hotel to act as a screen between the bathroom and bedroom of each suite. This allows for natural light to flood the entire space when the Smartglass is transparent, and at the flick of a switch, complete and absolute privacy when opaque.) We also showcased our latest book, Smartglass – Bright Thinking, our brand new 2013 samples, our corporate video featuring a CGI-walkthrough of some of our more famous projects, and some large Privacy Smartglass panels to show people the technology in-situ.
The stand attracted a lot of attention over the four days from designers and contractors working on some prestigious jobs in the region and further afield. We also received a lot of interest from the general public, many of whom wish to utilise Privacy Smartglass in their upcoming refurbishments and renovations.
It was a wonderful show to exhibit at and we’ve been extremely busy over the past two weeks following up on all our new contacts. The construction industry in London seems be performing strongly and we’re really looking forward to the next few months in the region!
