TROUBLE SHOOTING
LC SmartGlass does not turn clear when switched ON:
1. Check the fuses of the switchboard
2. Measure the primary of the transformer: after the UPS
3. If the power conditioner is not powered, check the switch
4. If the TPC is under tension, measure the secondary
5. If the secondary is not under tension, check the internal fuse
6. If the internal fuse is intact, the defect is inside the power conditioner and it has to be changed
7. If the secondary is under tension, check wiring and connection to the glass
8. Check input voltage to glass connections. If voltage is over 100 VAC and LC SmartGlass does not clear, replace the glass.
LC SmartGlass remains transparent in OFF-mode:
The Cause can only be a defective switch, check and replace if necessary.
MAINTENANCE
As with ordinary glass, regular cleaning of SmartGlass International LC glass is the only maintenance needed. Only non abrasive neutral materials should be used.
** Please note that the composition of LC SmartGlass will always result in a slight haze when in the clear state. Ambient lighting can accentuate this haze and should be taken into consideration. Angular lighting on the LC SmartGlass should be avoided where possible.
