Filling boots at London’s Gherkin

SmartGlass International (SGI) was delighted to be a co-lead sponsor of “2009 Fill These Boots” at 30 St. Mary Axe, also known as the Gherkin, the iconic skyscraper in London’s main financial district, the City of London.

The Enterprise Ireland organised networking event was attended by approximately 200 invited construction professionals and allowed SGI to display SmartGlass products and to explain their many unique benefits.

UK Sales manager Alan Saxby gave a speech and sample boxes were issued to the attendees.

Expand SPD-SmartGlass Business Internationally

June 15, 2009 – SmartGlass International Ltd. (SGI), a licensee of Research Frontiers Inc. (Nasdaq: REFR), has entered into an agreement with Research Frontiers to expand the geographic territory where it can offer its line of SPD-SmartGlassä architectural products that includes windows, doors, solar shading screens, curtainwalls, skylights and roof-lites. 300 m2 LC SmartGlass Project supplied to Libya

SmartGlass International has completed the supply of 300 m2 of LC SmartGlass to a prestigious project in Tripoli, Libya. The 15mm thick LC SmartGlass panels in varying sizes were supplied for installation to specialist framing supplied by Pimeks group.

Production manager Matt Holt comments “Having worked closely with the client, Yasar Ozkan engineering and contracting; we are delighted with the design and scale of this project. Our production team worked very well to ensure that all of the 155 LC SmartGlass panels were manufactured and tested on time and in excellent quality to meet the client’s needs.”

We look forward to working with the Yasar Ozkan engineering and contracting team in the near future.

SmartGlass to demonstrate at INSITE 09 from 1-4 June

INSITE09 is a four day exhibition and conference, and offers a unique opportunity to gain an insight into the future of low carbon and sustainable buildings. INSITE takes place at BRE Watford, England from 1 to 4 June 2009.

SmartGlass International will be demonstrating both LC SmartGlass and SPD SmartGlass at the interactive zone while also offering delegate presentations and CPD seminars.
The Interactive Zone - The Modern Built Environment KTN is running an Interactive Zone, which will give visitors the opportunity to view, touch, test and interact with some of the next generation of technologies that can be applied to the built environment.

In 2007, the event attracted over 6000 visitors including Ministers, major clients and key decision makers in the industry, many of whom are influencing government policy, programmes and projects. The networking and collaborations amoungst this high level audience has helped to shape the way we design, build, procure and develop new products and technologies.
