December 2008 – SmartGlass International completed the installation of its second automatic industrial lamination Autoclave.  This significant investment allows increased production capacity, improved efficiency and larger panel sizes.

In September 2008, SmartGlass International launched its line of SPD-SmartGlass architectural window products at the 100% Detail show held in Earls Court, London, England. With more than 150 exhibitors, and 25,000 Class A rated visitors 100% Detail featured the latest developments in sustainability, innovation and design for the built environment. SmartGlass International’s SPD-SmartGlass won the prestigious “Most Innovative Product Award” at 100% Detail 2008.

28 May 2008 – Her Majesty the Queen opened the newly expanded Royal Institution of Great Britain but dispensed with the typical ribbon cutting in favour of remote switching a panel of LC SmartGlass to reveal the ceremonial plaque.
